This is my third theme project. Again, like my other two theme projects, it is glazed with a natural-looking, earthy color. The texture of this project is a little grainy so it fits in even better with the whole "earthy" idea. It reminds me of mud or some kind of sand.
This is my second theme project. It qualifies as a theme project because just like my first theme project, it is glazed with a dark, natural color. This project uses value and contrast. The color of this mug is so dark that it contrasts with almost anything.
This is my first theme project. These fall under one theme because of the way I usually glaze. I love using darker glazes, that look natural and earthy. An design element that I used is contrast.. The white-ish/blue-ish speckles towards the bottom of the project really contrast with the dark, almost black, color on the top. The art element that I used is color because I simply only use two specific colors.
These are my 2 large wheel bowls. They are both wider than they are tall. On one of them I used the watercolor paint for the first time and painted ombre flowers on them. The design element in these projects is unity. Both of the bowls are unified together through their similar colors. My art element is shape. They are the perfect bowl shape and the smaller one fits inside the bigger one.
