This is my wheel altered project. It is tall with a swiveled top/edge. It is stained with green and brownish stain with a clear glaze over it. One new skill that I used while making this project is altering the project after I throw it on the wheel. This is the first time I have ever done an altered project so it is the first time I have bent the top edges into a symmetrical design. When making this project, I used the art element color. The stain on this project is in colors that really flow together nicely. A design element that I used is pattern. There is pattern in this project because the same "half circle" design is repeated multiple times.
This is my second finished bowl. It is a pretty good sized snack bowl. It has a stained flower in the inside of the bowl that goes up towards the edge. It also has little dots on the flower, the inside rim/edge of the bowl, and on the outside. A new skill that I used while creating this bowl was staining. This is the first time I have stained a project. One art element that I used is space. I put the dots on the rim because I felt that there was an empty space there and needed something. The design element I used is rhythm. This bowl shows rhythm because it looks as though the the flower petals and all of the dots are rising towards the top of the bowl all together...rhythmically :)
